Snowflake Obsidian from Mexico
Obsidian is a natural form of volcanic glass.
The “Snowflake” patterns form by a process called devitrification that causes the unstable glass to begin crystallizing. As this occurs radiating clusters called spherulites of needle-shaped cristobalite grow inside the glass, creating the white or grey snowflake-like spots.
Choose from 100 grams or 500 grams.
Size of stones 20mm-30mm.
