Let your imagination run wild with this beautifully polished pudding stone and see what images you can see in it.
Exmouth was once a sea floor. Now it is dry land with a mountain range.
The pudding stone here contains shells, limestone and jaspers in a conglomerate from when it was under the sea.
This sphere contains larger and smaller rocks in the conglomerate.
Comes with free metal stand.
All our spheres are made here in Nanango Queensland Australia.
We start by drilling a core from a larger rock. We then drill the core 3 more times to get a rough sphere.
we then start grinding the sphere with a three head machine we made. We use finer and finer grit diamond pads and finally we polish with oxide on a felt pad. Depending on how hard the stone is it takes 3-5 hours to make each sphere.
Please Note
As all of our stones are natural there may be cracks, holes and other imperfections. All of our stones are natural and we don't do any crack or void filling. We don't use oils or waxes to enhance our stones. We polish our stones by using finer and finer diamond polishing pads followed by different types of polishing oxide.
We do our best to show the true nature of our stones. Different computers and phones display colours differently.
