Set of 4 heavy duty splitters. Each splitter has 4 pieces as shown in the second photo.
These heavy duty rock splitters come with a 9mm thick rubber ring unlike most that use a thin o ring.
The steel has been heat treated to make these shims tough and withstand the riggers of being hit with hammers.
When fossicking these rock splitters are a real help. You can either drill holes to place the splitters in or use cracks already in rocks. Ideal for breaking rocks into manageable sized pieces.
To use simply place the 2 smaller shims with the ring around them then place the longer shim skinny end between the 2 shims in the rock. Then simply hit with a hammer to split the rock. If its large rock, several shims in a row will help split the rock.
