Beautifully slice of Wittenoom Tiger Eye

This slice was cut from a larger rock we have collected at Wittenoom Western Australia .
It is an unusual piece as the top part of the tiger eye has turned completely to tiger eye, but the bottom section still has some of the white totally silicified chrysotile fibres.
Tiger’s eye is formed through a process called pseudo morphism, where quartz crystals replace crocidolite fibers giving it its unique luster and chatoyancy.
The front is polished and the back is left rough.
All photos are taken with the rock dry.
Comes with free stand as seen in the photos.

We don’t use oils or waxes to enhance our stones. We polish our stones by using finer and finer diamond polishing pads followed by different types of polishing oxide.
